I realised what I'm about to write is probably not worthy to be called an 'update' so I've named it the opposite :)
So what's been happening? Oh yeah, Zef & Steffy's wedding. Snore.
Jokes! It's just that I'm not a very good recapper, so I'll just highlight a few of my favourite moments from Saturday:
- Vonnie, Heidi, Fanny and myself looked like lost sailors out at sea as we attempted to usher. My pathetic attempt consisted of,
Me: So, um...can you guys like um, move into the church now?
Anti-usher guests: glare.
Me: Or whenever you're ready, yeah, I mean its not like there's a wedding to start. Oh okay, I'll leave now.
I realised Vonnie was the best usher: "Good morning, how are you today? That's great! Could you please move through the side doors on your left as the bride will be arriving soon."
One uncle obviously thought we were in dire need of help as he came up to me and said, "Here's an idea. You should stand in the shape of a triangle, two on each side, not all over the place like you're doing now. Sigh. Back in the old days, ushers were good."
But yes, his expertise did help a little. All in all, it was a good learning experience!
- Vonnie catching the bridal bouquet. We all keep teasing her that she pushed Ally out of the way. Seems like Jacey's wind direction test with her finger didn't work very well!
- We all recieved a heart-shaped tea strainer from Zef and Steffy at the reception, and I knew Mum was very keen on them as she kept exclaiming how much she loved them, so much that we ended up with 3 back at home.
It was a very "humourous" wedding with all the dancing, oysters, and having 1 Kent and 3 Song's on our table.
I've put up photos up on Facebook if anyone wants to take a squiz.
Busy week ahead, pink ribbon selling, puppet showing and (sigh) studying.
Laters! Ness.
